The first Stadium of SKODA XANTHI, A.O.X. Stadium was built in the end of the first decade of 20th century and initially belonged to Orfeas Xanthi. The first efforts of its building started in 1906. But due to prohibition of such activities from the Turkish authorities the works never started and many of Orfeas members were put in prison.
After the re-foundation of Orfeas Xanthi on 14.07.1908 the works started since there were given some rights in the area, as a result to the revolution of Neo-Turks. Therefore on 31.05.1909 the first gymnastic games took place in the Stadium and also the first recorded football game in Xanthi.
The Stadium was used for football games, as well as for gymnastic and tracking games. It remained in the possession of Orfeas until 07.06.1967, when the club dissolute, in order to become the joining with Aspida Xanthi club and to derive A.O.X.

It was then, that the North Sector was completed and later it got covered. In the mid 80’s, the visitors sector was built, when Kimonas Koulouris was Undersecretary of Sports (taking the name of his diseased son, Aris), in the period 1981 – 1982 a grass field was placed and in the end of the period 1988-1989 (the year that the team qualified in A’Division), the South Sector was completed having also press-boxes. Until the end of 1990 the capacity of the Stadium was almost 12.000 seats. In 2000 plastic seats were put and the capacity reduced to 9.500 seats. At the same year the 4 big headlights were placed. The ticket record in this Stadium was recorded in the match against PAOK on 27.08.1995 with 11.764 tickets.
